In turn, industry revenue grew 3.5% in 2020. In 2021, industry revenue further increased 8.3% due to growth in the residential home market, despite further decline in the commercial market. In 2022, these trends are expected to continue moving in a positive directly and will likely contribute to the anticipated 4.7% growth in revenue during the year. Furthermore, over the past five years, industry revenue increased at an annualized rate of 4.9% to $226.8 billion in 2022.
